Meet the Candidate — Lawrence Hill author of “Someone Knows My Name”

Lawrence Hill won the 2008 Commonwealth Book Prize for his novel The Book of Negroes, which was published in the United States as Someone Knows My Name.

His  website,  has an author biography,  along with an article on his remarkable teachers.

In the article “Why I’m not Allowed my Book Title,” Hill tells The Guardian his thoughts on his novel being renamed Someone Knows My Name in the United States.
